Joseph A. Pesavento

Joseph A. Pesavento, age 85, of O’Hara Township passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. He was born on January 12, 1936 in Iron Mountain, Michigan the son of the late Amedeo Pesavento and his wife Ann (Judish) Pesavento.  He was preceded in death by his brother John A. Pesavento of Omaha, Nebraska. Joe graduated from Marquette University and went on to earn a master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. After completing this degree, Joe came to Pittsburgh where he spent his professional career in engineering and management for Westinghouse Corporation.  Upon retirement from Westinghouse, Joe returned to the classroom and pursued his passion for golf by becoming a golf official and serving on the Board of the West Penn Golf Association and the Pennsylvania Golf Association.  Between officiating at numerous golf tournaments across Pennsylvania, Joe found time to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of Pressley Ridge School, a founding member of the F.C. Snyder Scholarship Fund and as President of the Board of Longue Vue Club and the Fox Chapel Mews Association. Joe is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra (Heath) Pesavento, a dear cousin, Coleen C. Napier and several nieces and nephews. There will be NO VISITATION. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Scholastica Church, Aspinwall at 11 AM on Saturday, May 15, 2021 followed by entombment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the F.C.
