Beloved wife of 72 years of Raymond G. Hasley. Mother of Nancy Hasley (Scott Andersen), Holly
Smith (James), and Kristen Gribble (Gary); grandmother of Matthew Smith (Hilary Rosenthal), Alison
Smith, Catherine Corbett (Chris Matteri), and Anna Corbett Southard (Michael); great-grandmother

High School in three years, and was a proud graduate of Carnegie Tech where she earned a Bachelor
of Science degree and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa
Gamma sorority which she loved. Together with her husband (a principal partner with the law firm

supporting abandoned animals, especially cats and dogs, and volunteering, particularly with the
Pittsburgh Opera including at the Operatunity Shop in Oakland. Anne was also devoted to her
parents, Kirwin and Helen Sweeney, and was the keeper of their family histories, rooted in Vermont.
Anne travelled widely with her husband; enjoyed perfecting her cooking skills and entertaining; and
insisted that her daughters pursue their educations and careers (which they did). Anne loved all
things with a Pittsburgh connection, listening avidly to Pirates’ games on the radio while she worked
in the kitchen. She had many lifelong friends, particularly from high school, college, Blackridge and
her many bridge groups including at Oakmont Country Club. She was a devout member of St. Irenaeus
Church. Friends will be received at John A. Freyvogel Sons, Inc. (freyvogelfuneralhome.com) 4900
