Barbara Ann Henninger

Barbara Ann Henninger of Churchill passed away in her home on Thursday, December 22, 2022. Barbara was born in Cleveland, Ohio on the Fourth of July, 1946 as one of four daughters of Edward G. McGreivey and Doris (Stewart) McGreivey. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, F. William, son Michael A. of Churchill, daughter- in- law Melanie L. (Canavan), grandchildren Molly & Murphy, son- in- law Carmen M. (Buddy) Sokol of Pittsburgh and countless nieces & nephews. Barbara passed away peacefully at the age of 76, ready to reunite with her beloved daughter KC who preceded her in death in August of 2020. KC was Barbara’s best friend and soul mate, and Barbara never quite recovered from her loss: a big part of Barbara died with her. Barbara was a lymphoma survivor of 15 years, but despite her fragility, and the devastating loss of her daughter, she was the bravest and strongest of us all. Her devotion to family & friends, compassion toward those less fortunate, Irish humor, love of gardening, and her earnest humility inspired all of those who loved her. Respecting Barbara’s wishes, a remembrance service and interment will be private.
