Catherine L. Bell

Catherine Bell, at 91 years of age, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2024, while surrounded by the love of her family.  Beloved wife of the late James Bell; mother of James W. Bell, Jr. (Ann), Jeffrey D. Bell (Carol), Eric T. Bell (Adrienne), Timothy P. Bell, and the late Stephen G. Bell; grandmother of Jimmy, Shannon, Jordan, Jeffrey Jr., Kayla, Brittany, Alexander, Mackenzie, Briaunna and the late Ryan Bell; also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Sister of the late David Gibson. Catherine lived and raised her family in Bloomfield her entire life.  She immensely loved her family and cherished life’s simple pleasures - from indulging in gummy bears and finding joy in thrift store treasures to quiet conversations with her family and friends.  Her endless support and birthday and Christmas gifts to her family reflected her caring, thoughtful nature.  A firm believer in the power of education, she fervently encouraged her family to pursue the highest levels of learning, seeing it as the key to a bright future.  Deeply loved, she leaves behind a family who will fondly remember her wisdom and boundless affection. Freyvogel Sons, Inc., (freyvogelfuneralhome.com), 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  Funeral Thursday, Mass of Christian Burial, St. Augustine Church – St. Padre Pio Parish 10a.m.
