Christine M. Sciullo age 58 of Bloomfield lost her courageous battle with cancer on Monday February 1, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents John J. and Connie Sciullo. Christine is survived by her sisters Joanne Huber (Joe), Linda Sciullo, Lisa Sciullo, Angela Hollihan (Sean) and her beloved nephews John. Colin and Michael Hollihan. She is also survived by her aunts Peggy Degnan and Janet Crouch and best friends Suzie Magliocco, Kathy Thompson, Holly Parkinson and her goddaughter Deana Magliocco. After graduating from Duquesne University School of Education she spent her entire teaching career of 36 years educating the children of Bloomfield at St. Maria Goretti Elementary School, the former Immaculate Conception School. Christine was awarded the Mind, Heart and Spirit Award from Duquesne University in honor of her dedication to Catholic education. She was also a recipient of the Manifesting the Kingdom Award by the Diocese of Pittsburgh for her unfailing dedication to the Catholic faith and her community. She was admired by many for her generosity and commitment to her family, friends, and students. Chris loved spending her summer days watching her nephews swimming and sitting in the sun reading a good book. Friends will be received at John A. Freyvogel Sons, Inc. (freyvogelfuneralhome.com) 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street on Wednesday from 2-7p.m. adhering to all current CDC guidelines. Funeral Thursday, Mass of Christian Burial, St. Maria Goretti Parish, Immaculate Conception Church 10a.m. Everyone please gather at Church.
