Obituary

Cortes “Lynn” Keiser, age 74, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.  Lynn was the son of the late Cortes Keiser and Jean Keiser,  loving father of David (Jennifer) Keiser and Julie (Carmel Majidi) Keiser, and adoring grandfather of Evie, Adrian, Leo, and Jordan.  Lynn grew up in the Borough of Grampian in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, and attended Curwensville High School.  He received a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology from Cornell University, and was an avid outdoorsman and a lifelong student of wildlife.  He was cherished by his many wonderful neighbors and was always happy to help with their errant groundhogs and other various wildlife problems.  He loved books, especially about reptiles and interesting flora, art, and morning trips to his favorite coffee shop.  As a longtime resident of Point Breeze, his heart was firmly split between the city and country.  Lynn will be greatly missed by those he left behind.  In lieu of flowers, he would have wanted everyone to go outside and try to spot an interesting bird, or maybe hear one and try to identify it by song.  A private service will be held for family to honor his memory.
