On Wednesday December 6, 2023 Domenico "Donald" Casciato, age 96, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth A. "Betsy" Casciato. Father of Julie Vietmeier (John), Albert J. Casciato (Kate Hileman), and Donald J. Casciato (Rebecca). Grandfather of Andrew and David Vietmeier and Mary Ann Bramlett (Steve Davis). Great grandfather of Macon, Nessie, Ashton, and Ella. Brother of Loretta McHattie (the late William McHattie). Son of the late Albert and Julia Ragnelli Casciato. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Donald was a Navy Veteran of WWII and Korea and served 37 years as a City of Pittsburgh Police Officer, retiring as Lieutenant in 1992. Friends will be received at John A. Freyvogel Sons, Inc.
