Douglas Warren Kreps

Douglas Warren Kreps passed away suddenly at the age of 55 on Tuesday June 18, 2024. He is survived by his wife Constance Reiter-Kreps and two children Duncan and Abigail. He was preceded in death by his parents Gayle Sakal Kreps and Earl Kreps. After graduating from North Hills High School, Doug received a degree in history from Bowdoin College. He worked at Bill Few Associates and was an early partner at Fort Pitt Capital Group where he retired as the Managing Director. His recent years were spent supporting a variety of community organizations as well as a 17-year tenure on the Board of the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater where he served as the Treasurer and later Vice President. Doug cared deeply for his family and loved sharing hobbies with his kids. He enjoyed golf, skiing, and Pittsburgh sports teams, and he always appreciated a good meal and time among friends. Friends and family will be received at JOHN A. FREYVOGEL SONS, INC., (freyvogelfuneralhome.com) 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street on Friday, 3-6 pm, where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 10am. Donations may be made to the Douglas Kreps Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater School.
