On Saturday August 28, 2021, E. Bruce Adlard. On November 10, 1933, Margaret Cross Adlard wrote in her journal “I had a beautiful baby boy today.” With this memory, found in an attic 70 years later, E. Bruce Adlard son of the late Maggie and Walter E. Adlard of Cleveland, Ohio; Partner of over 40 years to the late Paul Brecht; brother of Mary Ellen Adlard Wallace and Joanne Adlard Callahan; uncle of eight nieces and nephews and twelve grandnieces and grandnephews, was welcomed into the world and into two large and loving families. After a transfer to Pittsburgh, Bruce grew from boy to young man and attended the University of Cincinnati earning a degree in Interior Design and pursued a career in commercial and private design in Pittsburgh and St. Croix, Virgin Islands. Bruce was a principled, steadfast artistic man who loved his family, friends and community and who inspired us all to live our best lives. We will miss him very much.
