Edward (Ned) MacKay Fettes passed away on December 8, 2025, at his apartment in Plano, Texas. He was born in Lakewood, Ohio, the son of William C. Fettes and Elizabeth “Lisa” Duffy Fettes. Ned spent his childhood in Overland Park, Kansas, where he graduated from Blue Valley Northwest High School. He went on to attend the University of Kansas and graduated in 2002 from the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Following college, Ned built a career in the transportation industry. He worked for FedEx Ground, with positions in Nashville, Tennessee, and later in Dallas, Texas. Ned is survived by his father, William C. Fettes of Richmond Hill, Georgia, and his brother, Christopher Fettes (Emma), also of Richmond Hill, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth “Lisa” Fettes. A graveside service was held at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by John A. Freyvogel Sons, Inc.
