Elizabeth “ Betty “ or “Betty Lou” Tarantino Obituary

On Sunday February 27, 2022, of Highland Park, beloved wife of the late Louis C. Tarantino; daughter of the late Marie Garrity Scanlon and William E. Scanlon; sister of the late William J., John E., Robert J., Senator Eugene F., James E. Scanlon and Patricia Scanlon Boyle; survived by many nieces and nephews to whom she was known as “Aunt BLou”. Mrs. Tarantino was retired from the University of Pittsburgh and was very active at St. Paul Cathedral for 35 years as a Choir member and in many other ways. She was a lifetime member of the Pittsburgh Savoyards. Friends will be received at John A. Freyvogel Sons, Inc. (freyvogelfuneralhome.com) 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street on Tuesday March 1, 2022 from 9-10:30AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul Cathedral at 11:00AM. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
