Mother of three, more commonly know as “Nunnie” to not only her four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, but also anyone she had met. Minnie grew up in Greenfield, then moved to Oakland, and at age 26 she married the love of her life, Frank Emanuele, and shared laughs and much love for the next 53 years! She developed a sweet tooth while working at Cargo’s Candies, where she made chocolate holiday treats, and after working as a seamstress at Kaufman’s, she began working beside her son, at Jay’s Bookstall, for 48 years. Minnie spent the last 100 years living life to the fullest, singing Italian songs, dancing, making her “Sunday Sauce,” welcoming anyone and everyone into her home, but more than anything loving her family whole heartedly all while being the strongest, sweetest, most loving, spit-fire, Mom, Nunnie and Minnie there was. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Frank Emanuele in 2001 and beloved son Frank Emanuele, Jr. (Diane Buchan) in 1991. She is survived by her son Joseph Emanuele (Diana) and daughter and devoted care-giver, Catherine Emanuele Rutter (late Charles); grandmother of Sean Rutter, Genna Rutter Kicinski, Michael Emanuele and Francesca Rutter Scappe; great-grandmother of nine; sister of William Marino (Patricia), Michael Marino and the late Vincent Marino (Betty). Friends will be received at John A. Freyvogel Sons, Inc. 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street on Friday 3-7pm. Funeral Saturday January 15, 2022, Mass of Christian Burial St. Paul Cathedral 10am.
