On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, beloved wife of the late John C Hanna, survived by her son Dean Hanna(Kimberly) and grandchildren who will miss Yiayia as well as nephew, Pete S(Rose) Kappas, nieces Maria Kappas, Andrea(Tom) Topolewski, Diane Kappas and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews in the US and Greece. Preceded in death by her parents, Pete D and Maria Kappas, brothers James Kappas, Steve Kappas, nephews Chris Kappas and Peter J Kappas, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in Greece.  Fran graduated from Ambridge High school, Geneva College, and the University of Pittsburgh. She taught French at New Brighton High School and Quaker Valley School District. She was active in her church, St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, having received the Metropolitan Award in 2018 for service to St. Nicholas. She will be missed greatly. May her memory be eternal. Friends will be received on Monday, January 19, 2026 from 10 until 11 AM at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 419 S. Dithridge Street, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM.
