Georgia G. Krelis
On Monday April 11, 2022, at age 93. Devoted and beloved daughter of the late Athena Mandros Krelis and George Panayiotis Krelis; survived by her beloved sister, Christina G. Krelis; Godmother of Thomas B. Drelles and David J. Contis; also survived by cousins, Peter S. Krelis and family, George S. Krelis and family, Kelly K. Dragatakis (Leo) and family, Pete E. Krilis (Rebecca), George and Casey Krilis, Thalia P. Mandros (late George P. Mandros), Annette M. Nicholas and family, Vanessa M. Pasiadis and family, Pamela M. Catuogno (Nino) and family, Joanne M. Kozy (Bill and Tyson); and pre-deceased by cousins, Peter A. Mandros, Jr., Irene M. Petroplus, Patricia M. Kazalas, John C. Mandros, and Ernest C. Mandros. Georgia was a lifetime member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral where she was a member of the Choir for seventy years and an enthusiastic Food Festival volunteer. She began her working career as a Medical Transcriber at West Penn Hospital, eventually retiring after forty-five years of service with PNC Bank and her final position of Executive Secretary for then PNC Pittsburgh’s President, Ned Randall. Georgia loved to bake and travel the world, she loved her church, her family and her country. Friends will be received at John A. Freyvogel Sons, Inc. 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street (freyvogelfuneralhome.com) on Thursday, 2-7PM, with Trisagion Service at 6PM. Funeral Friday, April 15, 2022, in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral at 11AM. Remembrances may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral Building Fund.
