Helen Diulus
On Monday August 22, 2022, beloved wife of the late Guy A. “Buddy” Diulus;
loving mother of Dolores Dudiak (Rick), Valerie Delaney (Roddy), Beverly Burgan
(Jeff) and the late Anthony Val Diulus; devoted grandmother of Kevin
Dudiak(Leann), Brian Dudiak (Ginny), Patrick Dudiak (fiancé-Mackenzie), Jocilyn
Drake (TJ), Molly Uebele (Bill), Candice Owings (Eric), Stefanie Hartt (Arthur)
and Justin Burgan; cherished great grandmother of Madelyn Dudiak, Delaney
Drake, Mason Uebele, William and Jackson Owings.; sister of Frances Bandi;
daughter of the late John and Anna Kramer Begansky. A kindhearted and generous
woman, Helen was happiest when hosting and sharing her love of Italian cuisine
and the baking of her famous Lady Locks with a house full of family and friends.
Helen spent over twenty years as a City of Pittsburgh School Crossing Guard, was
an avid Pittsburgh sports fans, and along with her late husband, Buddy, enjoyed
many seasons as Pitt Football season ticket holders. After retirement, Helen and
Buddy enjoyed cruising, traveling, trips to the casino and most of all spending
quality time with their children and grandchildren. Friends will be received at John
A. Freyvogel Sons, Inc. 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street
(freyvogelfuneralhome.com) on Thursday 2-7pm. Funeral Friday, Mass of Christian
Burial St. Paul Cathedral 10:00am. The Diulus family wishes to send a special
thank you to the staff at Bridges Hospice for guiding them through this journey with
Helen, “You are angels on Earth.”
