James Edward Reiter

James Edward Reiter passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on Friday, May 24, 2024. He is survived by his daughters, Constance Reiter-Kreps (Douglas) and Nancy Wise (Bart Wise, PhD) of Lexington MA; and four grandchildren, Duncan and Abby Kreps and Tucker and Tessa Wise. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Pauline Thiessen Reiter; his parents, James Edward Reiter and Grace Grubb Reiter; and his sister, Grace McNatt. James served in the Air Force during the Korean War and received a degree in psychology at the University of Pennsylvania in 1951. James worked in the field of Human Resources for 25 years at Dravo Corporation and later led Paul Edwards Associates, a Human Resources consulting firm until his retirement. James was always ready to sing a song – whether a Christmas carol or a college fight song and enjoyed wearing his hat. Friends and family will be received at JOHN A. FREYVOGEL SONS, INC., (freyvogelfuneralhome.com) 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street on Sunday, June 9 from 2:30 p.m. until a Memorial Service at 3:30 p.m.
