James F. Grant Obituary

James F. Grant, of Squirrel Hill, died peacefully on Monday March 9, 2026.  Beloved son of the late F. Vincent and Mary Burns Grant; brother of Gerard F. Grant (Ruby), Jean M. Smith (Walt), Raymond J. Grant, John P. Grant (Glenda), Mary F. Hayhurst and Joseph M. Grant (Maureen); also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jim was a graduate of Taylor Allderdice High School Class of 1966, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a long-time employee of Charles Morris Nursing Home and former Commander of the Squirrel Hill VFW Post. He was an avid Penn State football and WWE wrestling fan. In his later years, Jim lived in the Cedar Hill Health Care and Rehab Center where he enjoyed leading daily sing-a-longs for his fellow residents and staff. The Grant family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Cedar Hill for the wonderful care that they gave to Jim during his residence. There will be no visitation.
