On Wednesday September 13, 2023. Daughter of the late Frank and Antoinetta Lamanna.  Beloved sister of the late Robert B., Robert V. and survived by siblings Mary Wolf (the late Robert), Helen McKinley (the late Earl Jr.) and Louis J. Lamanna (Marlene).  Loving aunt of 12 nephews and nieces. Jean lived in Shadyside her entire life and graduated from St. Paul Cathedral High School in 1954.  She worked more than 40 years for Mine Safety Appliances in various roles including as an Industrial Engineering Assistant, retiring from MSA. Jean enjoyed spending time with her friends, traveling, gardening, especially roses, and collecting crystal figurines. She will be remembered for her kind, gentle nature, generosity, genuine happiness, and her unceasing laughter. She could often be heard happily singing her favorite song, Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be). Friends will be received at John A. Freyvogel Sons, Inc. (freyvogelfuneralhome.com) 4900 Center Avenue at Devonshire Street on Monday from 1-3p.m. and 5-7p.m. Funeral Tuesday, Mass of Christian Burial, St. Paul Cathedral 10a.m. Remembrances in Jean's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
