John Bruno, 58, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 20, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer, which he faced with remarkable strength, bravery, and dignity.
John was a loving husband to Rosemary and a devoted father to Giovanni and Gabrielle (Jake Sarro). He was born in Pittsburgh to Pierina and Salvatore Bruno and was raised in the city he always called home. A proud alumnus of Duquesne University, John went on to build an accomplished and respected career spanning more than 30 years with PPG. His work took him across the world, to countless countries, and numerous experiences he shared with family and friends throughout his life.
John was known for his character, his unwavering dedication to both his family and his work, and the lasting impression he left on everyone he met. He was an incredibly generous man, always willing to help others however and whenever he could. He found great joy in riding his bike through the city, traveling the world, following Pittsburgh sports, and supporting Juventus. He took deep pride in maintaining family traditions and staying closely connected to his extended family in Italy.
John’s life was defined by his love for his family and the strength of the relationships he built over time. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary, and his children, Giovanni and Gabrielle (Jake Sarro) and was preceded in death by his parents.
