Lois Grabe Reuter

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lois Grabe Reuter of O’Hara Township (Fox Chapel Mews) on May 23, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Frederick Reuter of Fox Chapel, her parents John William and Grace Kennedy Grabe of Penn Hills, and her brother Robert K. Grabe. She is survived by her son Robert Henry Reuter and his wife Linda Bucci Reuter of Allison Park, and her two grandchildren Felicia Lois Reuter and Alex Henry Reuter whom she loved beyond words.

Lois graduated from Stephens College in 1947 with an Associate in Arts degree and Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University) in 1949 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Throughout her life, she was actively involved in numerous organizations including the Pittsburgh Opera, the Twenty-Five Club, and the Fox Chapel Garden Club. She was an accomplished pianist in her youth, and loved to play golf, read, and travel the world. Lois was a member of the Duquesne Club, Longue Vue Club, the Pittsburgh Athletic Association, and the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church. A private service will be held at John A. Freyvogel Sons, Inc.
