Margaret T. Atkinson

On Monday January 19, 2026, beloved mother of Christopher D. Atkinson and Suzanne M. Atkinson, MD (late Michael Brown); grandmother of Maxwell C. and Samuel P. Atkinson; sister of Philip Theis (Linda), Elizabeth Theis McNulty, and the late Steven W. Theis (Raine) and the late Catherine Theis Sutula; daughter of the late Francis W. and Helen J. Wickizer Theis; also survived by nieces and nephews. “Peggy” graduated from Purdue University and was a stay-at-home mother until beginning a thirty-year career as the office manager of Medgaus Dental Group in Monroeville, during that time, she also earned a master’s degree in public management from Carnegie Mellon University. After leaving the dental practice, she continued her career as an administrative assistant for Judge Tom Flaherty in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court. Peggy was a devoted mother, grandmother, former member of the Shadyside Action Coalition, and was an extremely active and avid tennis player and animal lover. There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
