On Saturday August 1, 2026, at home and surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Salvatore and Teresa Gallo Iaquinta; beloved wife of James R. Oros; cherished mother of Rosa Sciulli (Anthony), Teresa Mackuliak (Chris) and Christina Grassi (Vito); devoted grandmother of Gemma and Giovina Sciulli, Christian Mackuliak, and Giancarlo and Serafina Grassi; dear sister of the late Rosa (Salvatore) Cimino, Serafina Iaquinta, Caterina (Salvatore) Reale, Filomena (surviving Anselmo) Guzzo, Joseph (Anna) Iaquinta, Giuseppina (surviving Salvatore) Pignanelli, and Salvatore Iaquinta; loving sister-in-law of Edith Oros, Jeannette Wetzel; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary immigrated to the United States of America in 1967 with her mother and family from San Giovanni In Fiore, Calabria, Italy, settling in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. She graduated from South High School and began working at Fisher Scientific. It was there that Mary met the love of her life, Jim Oros, with whom she would start and raise her family and spend 51 years of marriage. She continued her education, earning a C.N.A. and began working at Marian Manor, caring for many Alzheimer’s patients over the next 30+ years. In retirement, Mary was a devoted grandmother to her five grandchildren, enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, going out to eat and to the casino with Jim. Mary will always be remembered for her great sense of humor and as a warm and nurturing wife, mother, grandmother and loyal friend. Friends will be received at John A.
