Monty was an intellectual, scholar and student of human nature. He was devoted to family and friends and could always be relied upon for support, advice and a helping hand. In many small ways, his contributions and support can be felt and seen in the numerous ways he helped others. Monty was an ardent supporter of justice for all, the rights of women, social equality, LGBTQIA rights, and civil rights. Monty deeply felt injustices experienced by others and often counseled others through difficult times. He was not only celebrated for his good counsel, but also his unique perspective, genuine advice, strength, resilience and selfless acts of kindness, love and care for others. His wit, cantankerousness, and smile will be missed by everyone he touched.
