Pauline A. DeSimone

Pauline A. DeSimone, age 84 of Pittsburgh Pa passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday March 10, 2025. She is survived by her husband Sal DeSimone, her children Anthony (Kathy) DeSimone, Michelle (Joe) Balobeck , Karen (Kenny) Palmer and her grandchildren Louie, Zachary (Kathryn) and Julia. She was preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Catherine Merendino, and her sister Teresa, brother Anthony and her sister Angela. She is survived by her sister MaryLinda.

Pauline was born on June 30, 1940, in the Bloomfield area of Pittsburgh but raised her family in the Shadyside area where she lived for over 60 years. She worked for Sacred Heart in Shadyside for over 30 years as well as being a lifelong parishioner and served on the board of Sacred Heart Church Woman's Guild for 10 years. Pauline also served as a Democratic Committee Woman for over 15 years. Her infectious laugh will be missed by all of her community, her friends, and her family. Friends will be received at John A. (freyvogelfuneralhome.com) 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Friday, Mass of Christian Burial, St. Jude Parish, Sacred Heart Church at 10 a.m. At the request of the family, everyone please meet at church. Interment in the National Cemeteries of the Alleghenies will be private.
