Robert F. Maloney, III

Robert “Bob” Fidelis Maloney, III Age 77, of Oakmont, passed away peacefully Monday February 13, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. He leaves a legacy of love, kindness, understanding, a gentle spirit, and a marvelous sense of humor for all to remember. Beloved husband of Christy (Stoecklein) Maloney; loving father of Robert “Bobby” Fidelis Maloney IV (deceased), Jane Courtney Newman, and Meredith Ann Maloney; grandfather of Gavin Robert Newman and Teagan Riley Newman; brother of Carol Anne Coulson, Michael “Mike” Francis Maloney and James “Jamey” Kuhn Maloney (deceased) and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bob lived a life of devotion and faithfulness to family and friends. His passion and determination made him a formidable competitor as an athlete at Shady Side Academy and Lehigh University. He proudly served his country as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy. He had a long and varied career in Banking and Business Consulting that brought him to different parts of the world including to São Paulo, Brazil where he and his family lived for a time. His passions were the enduring relationships he nurtured throughout his life. He will be missed by so many who had the gift of knowing him … and no reflection would be complete without his daily ‘romp and stomp’ with his beloved dog Bella in ‘Bark Park’. Bob volunteered with the Nine Mile Watershed Association and donations can be made in his name to upstreampgh.org. The family will be holding a private Celebration of Life for Bob.
