July 8, 1942 – January 16, 2022
In the early hours of January 16, 2022, our beloved Thomas N. “Tom” Tanglos took his final breath and departed from this earthly world in Maryland at age 79. He is survived by his beloved wife Harriet, his sons Chris and Tom, daughter Maria and his sister Toula Stuart (along with her family), who will miss him dearly. He was the especially proud “Papou” to Benjamin “Ben” Oshinsky. He was proceeded in death by his parents Christ and Catherine Tanglos. His parents immigrated from Greece and were the proud owners of the once famous Embassy Restaurant in Pittsburgh. Before Tom retired, he was the proud & successful business owner of Clothes Call Smoke and Fire Restoration in Maryland and had earned the respect of all his peers by creating an Association to help others in the industry. Those who met and knew Tom recognized his extraordinary humble, jovial, gentle, and giving heart. He grew up with a deep sense of responsibility to support his family, always with great sensitivity, true selflessness, and deep respect; these are the fundamentals that he instilled in his children. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the many friends and family who offered their support and love over the years. We are all blessed to have known him. His smile and laughter will forever be in our hearts. Friends will be received at John A. Freyvogel Sons, Inc. 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street on Saturday January 29, 2022 from 10AM until 12 Noon, where services will immediately follow. (freyvogelfuneralhome.com)
